So, Dumbledore is gay.

Yup you guys, while I was actively joining Facebook groups named “Not my daughter you Bitch!” or “Albus Severus, what an infortunate name”, JK Rowling was busy finding a way to keep people talking about her little Harry.

And what has she come up with? After a reading of the last book, she answered questions, one of which was “Has Dumbledore found true love?” According to CNN,

“Dumbledore is gay,” the author responded to gasps and applause.

She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. “Falling in love can blind us to an extent,” Rowling said of Dumbledore’s feelings, adding that Dumbledore was “horribly, terribly let down.”

Dumbledore’s love, she observed, was his “great tragedy.”

Has she actually thought of that or is it just marketing (not that Harry really needs it but still)? Whatever. This just brings more goodies from fanzines, journalists and the blogosphere.
